The lockout has brought them closer to good Russian cooking, and to each other. Both are playing for Magnitogorsk during the lockout. Gonch is living in the "base" apparently which stirs up mental images of him being in some kind of military bunker, wearing fabulous sweaters and smoking a briar pipe next to the ventilation ducts while sipping high-quality vodka and listening to the radio late into the night.
OH GOD WE HAVE MISSED THIS POETRY.
So, we haven't been posting much lately, obviously, because NHL news has been depressing. But now that this non-season is, so far, a reality, we might want to try to get back on the horse. As gently and daintily as possible.
Go Pens. Go Metallurg.
Great seeing the two former team mates who are good friend meet up again. Although the NHL has been a down side for the most part, Gonchar and Malkin have never been closer due to this lockout. The two players have been friends for along time and former teamm ates back in the NHL. Both players are reunited the chemistry back in Russia lighting it up teams every game especially Malkin but the two maintained the chemistry back in Steel town. Its great to see the two get along so well even after they had drifted apart on different teams in the NHL. Well done boys keep up the good work
It's taking all of my will power to survive this mess, that and I joined Roller Derby. I've been mulling over that fucking boss Metallurg hat on the KHL site only 600 rubles! But then I bought wack of fishnets and booze to fuel the derby fire. I feel traitorous which is ridiculous they have b abandoned the fans to the drudgery of winter with no NHL fires and Stanley Cup drama. My heart will freeze this December. RIP 2012-13 Season.
